The Role
This is a unique opportunity to join Forgent AI on the ground floor. As Forgent's first People hire, you'll own full-cycle recruiting across engineering, GTM, and operations while building the systems that help our team perform at their best.
You'll work directly with founders to scale the team from 10 to 50+ people - hiring exceptional talent, designing onboarding that works, and creating the light-touch processes that let everyone do their best work without bureaucracy.
What You’ll Do
- Own full-cycle recruiting for engineering, GTM, and operational roles: Source talent, design interview processes, and attract candidates who thrive in high-ownership environments
- Build foundational People systems: Design onboarding that gets people shipping in week one, create compensation frameworks that make sense, and implement light-touch performance systems - all without unnecessary bureaucracy
- Run the full spectrum of team operations: From coordinating founder calendars and booking travel to organizing team offsites and remote work weeks - you'll own everything that makes our team productive
- Handle the operational backbone: Manage contracts, payroll, compliance across multiple countries, plus manage candidate experience from first outreach through their first day
- Act as a thought partner to founders: Advise on hiring strategy, help close critical hires, and figure out how to build teams that ship production AI at scale
You’ll Thrive Here If You
- Bring 2+ years in talent acquisition or people ops from a high-growth startup where you built systems from scratch
- Have a strong track record hiring technical and commercial talent in competitive markets. You think holistically about talent and business outcomes
- Default to action over perfection. You'd rather ship something today and iterate than plan the perfect system
- Are based in Berlin (or eager to relocate)
- Speak fluent English and German
